Introduction
The lodge is established and operating commercially. Situated on the banks of the Zambezi River, the wilderness surroundings offer a range of nature based activities that ensure that any visit becomes an unforgettable African experience.
Location & access
The Lodge is situated in the Lower Zambezi Valley near the Lower Zambezi National Park. Charter flights from Lusaka to the local airfield take 40 minutes. By road from Lusaka is approximately a four hour journey
Wildlife
Large animals in the area include elephant, buffalo, kudu, klipspringer, impala, waterbuck, bushbuck, Burchell’s zebra, warthog and bushpig. Carnivores such as lion, leopard, caracal, serval, spotted hyaena and African wild cat are sometimes seen. Crocodiles and Hippos are a common sight on the Zambezi River.
The riverine habitat and variety of surrounding vegetation types is home to an impressive diversity of bird life. More than 400 species have been identified in the vicinity.
